TOPPING-OUT CEREMONY RADIOLOGY COLOGNE

ADK baut Radiologie der Zukunft in Köln

ADK Modulraum celebrates the topping-out ceremony for the new radiology building of the Kliniken der Stadt Köln at the Merheim site.

ADK Modulraum is constructing a new radiology building in modular design for the clinics of the city of Cologne on the grounds of Merheim Hospital. The building for the Clinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology, is an important building block for the modernization of the clinic infrastructure of the Clinics of the City of Cologne. The existing media tunnel will be extended and integrated into the new building, thus enabling and guaranteeing the technical connection of the new radiology department to the existing building. Oxygen is supplied via a separate oxygen sub-center, also newly constructed in modular design.

The complex new building is being constructed on the green area in front of the old entrance at the main building in modular construction at record speed.

The two-story building with a floor area of about 2400 ² will receive on the first floor mammography, sonography, X-ray, sectional imaging center (CT / MRI) and angiography. In addition, rooms for treatment, staff stay and patient stay will be created.

The high level of prefabrication of the building in the factory ensures a short construction time on site. Especially in the healthcare sector, the modular construction method is excellently suited to keep noise and emission disturbances to a minimum during the construction phase.
