In a courtyard that was rebuilt from all sides, the extension of the Diakonie-Klinikum in Stuttgart had to take place. It was not only the limited storage options for building materials that posed a problem. The modules, weighing up to 23 tonnes, had to be lifted above the existing building, which made previous statistical studies and assessments of a disaster inescapable.

Without disruption of the hospital operation, the increase could be completed on schedule and successfully.
